Kevin and Kathy Johnson came to Columbus in 1978 to manage what was then an expansion of a chain of carpet stores – Mr. Wize Buys Carpet Shop. In 1980, the Johnsons purchased the rights to the Columbus store and incorporated the business in 1983. The following year, they bought the building along with the warehouse in back.
Wize Buys joined Abbey Carpet, a buying group, in 1995 and continues to operate out of the same 2307 13th Street location.
We have the largest selection of floor coverings in Columbus, with more than 100 rolls of carpet and 30 rolls of vinyl in stock, along with a large selection of ceramic tiles, laminate, hardwood flooring, area rugs, blinds, sheet vinyl and vinyl tiles.
Wize Buys offers free in-home measuring and estimates, as well as convenient sample check-out in a friendly atmosphere.
